Phi-Pot System Assembly

To enjoy your Phi-Pot system, assembly must be done in a specific order. If you purchased a stabilization base, start with the “Stabilization Base Assembly” section. If you only have modules, skip directly to the “Module Assembly” section.

Stabilization Base Assembly (First Step)

This process attaches the first module to the stabilization base and requires a Phillips screwdriver.

  1. Prepare the base: Identify the side of the base that has countersunk holes (the conical recess so the screw head sits flush).
  2. Insert screws: Insert the 6 screws into the holes from that countersunk side.
    • 💡Tip: We recommend securing the screw heads with a bit of adhesive tape so they don’t fall out during the following steps.
  3. Positioning: Place the base on a flat, firm surface (table or floor) so the screws are pointing upwards.
  4. Washers: Add two washers to each of the protruding screws.
  5. Module placement: Place the Phi-Pot module onto the base, aligning all screws with the holes at the bottom of the module. Once aligned, press the module down so the screws pass through the base.
  6. Internal fastening:
    • From inside the module, place one of the connector pieces (the U-shaped parts) so they fit onto the protruding screws.
    • Ensure the channel of the connector piece is facing visible upwards.
  7. Tightening: Carefully (you may need to tilt the assembly slightly or do this at the edge of a table), tighten the screws from the bottom of the base until the module is firmly secured.
    • 💡Tip: Tighten the three screws gradually and evenly. Do not fully tighten one screw while the others are loose, as this can cause the internal connector to tilt. Instead, alternate between them, turning each one a few times until the module is firmly secured.
  8. Finish: Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the remaining connector piece.

⚠️ Stability Tips

To improve overall stability, especially in tall towers, we strongly recommend completely filling the bottom half or third of the “trunks” (the vertical column connecting the modules) with a heavy substrate like stones or pebbles, and using growing substrate (soil), which is lighter, only in the branches where plants are placed.
